The Australian Government has announced a phased roll-out strategy and framework for prioritising groups within the community.
Australia’s COVID-19 vaccination program will begin late February 2021, with priority groups receiving the first doses with an aim to have as many people vaccinated as possible in 2021. Frontline healthcare workers with the highest risk of exposure to Covid-19 and aged care staff and residents are in Phase 1a.
The federal and state governments and working with the health and aged care sectors on the logistics of the vaccination program, and you will receive more information directly from your facility in the coming days and weeks.
